Paris Fashion Week Fall 2014 Street Style
When I was first introduced to the concept of Fashion Week, the only Street Style, the only collections I looked at were from Paris Fashion Week. For me, Paris was the city. I still dream of visitng it someday, macaroons in hand, going to the Louvre - there is no end to my Parisian wish-list. Anyway, moving on... In terms of style, Paris is always filled with style gurus who know what to wear, how to wear it, and embrace a mixture of minimalism and the current trends. Very much my style - at least what I like the see. This week simple, solid-colored coats are the norm, and black, and well as neutral touches of navy and pops of red, are taking stage.

Milan Fashion Week Fall 2014 Street Style Part Three
Milan is ablaze with the most interesting fashion takes available. There is a skirt made up entirely of buckles, a jacket that looks like it was made from a bright gold candy wrapper, a huge winter-looking hat with a brooch emblazoning the center ... and so much more.
Milan Fashion Week Fall 2014 Street Style Part Two
Right now, Milan is teeming with color, and I, personally, am thoroughly enjoying it. Every hue in the rainbow is painted on the fabric, such as in the photograph below, where fabric is touched with lips - literally.

Closing Night...
Tonight is the closing night of Little Women, and I must say I feel sort of down. Sure, it has been many busy, hectic weeks, but when it comes down to it, it was fun. The best, longest time of fun I've had in my entire life. I just wanted to take some time to thank each and every person in the cast and crew of Little Women, and also those who were in the audience. Without all of those people, Little Women wouldn't be well, Little Women. (It also could never have opened its doors.) It's also amazing how much the show touched the people that took the time to come. Autographs were a wonderful part of the process, since it was just so wonderful to see the audience, to speak with them, to hear what parts they liked, and to just experience it. I hope to be in many more DCT productions, and again, I truly thank everyone involved for the wonderful experience.

Street Style: New York Fashion Week Fall 2014
Freezing, chilly, cold... those are all words that are being used by the lucky bloggers that are currently stationed in NYC for Fashion Week. However, they all can admit that Fashion Week is a feast for the eyes. Although I myself have obviously never been to New York fashion week, let alone any, I can attest that the street style photos convey a wonderful, colorful, enjoyable multiplied experience. These photographs, chosen from sites like vogue.com, teenvogue.com, and thecitizensoffashion.com provide a fantastical glimpse into the beautiful world of street style.

My science homework for tonight? Write an essay in which the speaker is a resident of the moon, and she has her earth friend come and visit for two days, and describe what they do. In detail. So it makes sense. Feeling my writer's bug stirring...

Quote #1
"Be kind to everyone you meet; you never know when or where you may see them again. It takes a long time to build a good reputation and one moment to destroy it.” - Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

New Year, New Look
I told you I would show you the textile goodies my mother picked me up recently, and here, at last it is. Everything, head-to-toe, is newly premiered, and I must say, I've don't think I've ever shown a post in which I don't have any recycled pieces.
I've always wanted something edgy, like a motorcycle jacket. However, I haven't yet found the perfect one. Luckily, I did get the best pair of edgy boots, and I must say, they have become my new essential. Looking typical from the front, they give a edgy surprise in the back. After I got this sweater, I wore it to an evening of Little Women rehearsals, and discovered that the girl who played Jo had the very same sweater, and I even saw her wear it! Something new I also treasure is the trench coat. I've never expected to get one so easily, when I've wanted one for so long. Of course, in these photographs, it looks pretty much nothing like a trench coat, and I do admit that a typical trench coat doesn't have a hood, but it does look like the trench it is when it is buttoned, but given the circumstances, I chose to show off this fantastically unique sweater.

The Best of Backstage and Front Row Photographs at Spring 2014 Couture
Armani Privé
Photographed by Kevin Tachman
The Dior 2012 Spring Couture Collection was the very first fashion show I ever viewed. I watched the video time and time again, reveling in the glamour, luxury, and superb fantasy fifties that the collection mirrored. The word has changed a lot in these past two years, and the couture collections this season mirrored just that.
When I look at most of these collections, especially the backstage photos, my favorite of which are featured here, I am struck with the feeling that so many of these faces, these clothes, these collections, represent the bygone ages of the renaissance period. Of course, to be honest, not all the collections reminded me of just that era, Chanel being the most prime example, with Karl Lagerfeld's models parading down stark white catwalk, and Dior, which mirrored the iconic fifties, and then Jean Paul Gaultier, representing the careless flapper. Still, I think all these photographs represent art at its finest. All these designers know how to sing their own song, and their song spells art.
