The Beauty of The Face - Pat Mcgrath's Look For Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2013

Dolce and Gabbana is one of my favorite desginer brands. I love each and every collection, with the raw Italian look they all possess. The makeup look for the latest collection is a classic look - pretty easy to create but stunning as a result.
"The look is inspired by fantastic cathedrals, like Monreale in Sicily, which is very Byzantine, very rich with incredible icons," said makeup artist Pat McGrath. "Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana wanted the girls to be more aristocratic, sophisticated, chic. It's a nod to couture, but modern at the same time."

Sophia Loren served as inspiration: The iconic elements of her look—full, groomed brows, liner, and an easy updo—were incorporated, and a rich, matte red lip was added.

The beautiful red lip was created using Dolce & Gabbana Precision Lip Liner in Ruby and a combination of Dolce & Gabbana The Lipstick in Ultra and Amethyst dabbed on with a finger to create a stained effect. No shadow was used on the lids—just powder to keep them matte, so that the liner would be the focus.

"We love eyeliner because it's very expressive. We're taking it more and more out here," said McGrath, who paired D&G Intense Liquid Eyeliner in Black Intense Glam'Eyes over D&G The Eyeliner Crayon Intense.

As I said before, I think that this look is pretty easy to create - you just need eyeliner, powder, lip pencil, and lipstick to go D&G!
