Hello everybody! Long time no see right? I have been so preoccupied with final exams and Nutcracker it was so easy to almost forget I had a blog in the first place! Around the holiday season I like to take a look at Christmas related books and this one, titled A Christmas Memory, is certainly one of my favorites. Written by Truman Capote, (you might know him from his work, most notably Breakfast at Tiffany's) it is based on his last Christmas with his friend, a sixty plus woman who lives with him in a house among relatives that adopt a hostile face, seldom showing themselves throughout the book. The book is really beautifully illustrated and makes me realize the true meaning of Christmas, being thankful for what you have and the people around you. It is certainly a book you should consider getting, and even though Christmas is right at our fingertips and you probably are already fed up from your shopping, this book is certainly worth a last minute spend!
