The Native Shoe: Some I'm Laughing, Some I'm Not...

It's been a while since I've done a shoot. I was beginning to think that this blog was straying from the image I had in mind. However, it didn't. This web address is still the stylish scrapbook of what I love. It just needed more of these kind of photos. Since my "photographer(s) have been too busy this fall to shoot, and also, I must admit, a little reluctant, these photographs are all taken by your's truly. The process of taking these photographs is too lengthy to put into words that won't bore you, but I have to say it took me a while to get them "where I wanted them". Simply said, it took me a while to get all the little computer-screen details cropped, as I was taking screenshots from a video I shot and didn't have my usual editing software. There, I hope that's easy to comprehend. Another thing. Due to the lengthy process of getting this photos up, I am posting photos of a mid-November scene in the record breaking freezing sleet Dallas is now experiencing. (Seriously, I've heard that tonight will be the coldest - my cat is getting hot water bottle treatment.) Anyway, lets get to the clothes.

I've been wearing these boots almost every day now. I've observed that I'm about the only girl in my school who wears no Ugg boots (versus the girls who wear them religiously) and instead wear these flattering heeled boots as if they are glued to my feet. I find that they instantly spice up any plain shirt and jeans outfit into something that garners compliments all around. The cardigan is my mothers, which I've finally managed to pry away from her, and the jeans are my new favorite pair - very flattering. The belt is one I love, and I do wish I could show it off more, but I can't - not unless I perform a jump (see above). Still, it is the way it makes you feel that counts, and I feel awesome whenever I wear it. Ms. Necklace, from what you can see of her, is a Labor Day shopping treasure. I love her. She is currently lying on my light wooded desk in my room, as if it's her throne or something.

As you can see from the photos, in "Some I'm Laughing, Some I'm Not...". I love to laugh, but I have to find it first. These days it's been lying near the surface, bubbling up at any given opportunity...
