I am leaving for a weekend getaway to Houston, and since I haven't been there in a long time, I'm pretty exited. I was thinking about doing a short video on what I packed, but I honestly don't have any time to edit it and upload by the time I leave. So I'm doing a post.

What I'm Reading: Nancy Drew, Cat Stories, and More

Since summer is gifting me glorious time, it's only natural that I would devote a chunk of it to one of my favorite activities - reading. After stopping at the library the other day, as well as shopping for a few books, and even digging up a favorite volume or two, I now find that I have, well, been reading several at the same time. Some of these I've already finished, others I'm reading, and the rest are either being reread or I haven't started yet.

Review: Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

I recently read a review of this mascara on Fleur de Force's blog, (click here to read it) and I was instantly hooked. I had heard quite a lot of negative reviews on this product, so I wasn't expecting any kind of praise on this mascara. Surprisingly, Fleur spoke about the waterproof version. She said that is was her fairytale mascara, and one of the best ones she had tried. Apparently, the non-waterproof formula transfers in just a few hours, while the waterproof version has amazing staying power. Since my current mascaras had gone long past their expiration date (three months) I decided to go out and buy this mascara. (Actually, there is an interesting story about how I bought this product, if you are interested in hearing it watch my haul video here.) Overall, I must say that this mascara is also my fairytale mascara. Read on to find out what is so good about this mascara!

When it comes to Fashion Week, funnily enough, it's not necessarily the runway I look to for style inspiration - it's the street. Street Style is pretty similar to the runway, but at the same time it entirely different. While the runway gives us a solid theme for each collection, street style is a dazzling display of a huge array of styles, designers, and yes, themes. During Paris Fall 2013 Couture Fashion Week, (yes, quite a mouthful), I will be updating this post every day, so keep an eye out for new photos during the week.
